With miles of gorgeous beaches dotted with almond and palm trees, the Costa Calida is extremely popular for family holidays. The Costa Calida is situated in the southeast of Spain. Translating as the 'Warm Coast' Costa Calida is known for its mild climate, it enjoys sunshine for in excess of 320 days per year, more than any other in region in Spain Winters are typically very mild with averages hovering around 18°C (64°F).
Places to Visit:
Los Alcazares has many restaurants, bars and play areas 20 mins away and you can stroll down to the beach and wander along the 7 mile promenade.
The beautiful Roman port of Cartagena the Millennial Port of the Mediterranean is a super day’s out for the family with many historical sites, shopping, harbour and restaurants and bars.
At San Javier just 20 minutes drive away is Dos Mares shopping mall with restaurants, 10 pin bowling, cinema and an extensive food hall.
The old part of Murcia city has many museums, churches, and plazas linked by quaint streets-ideal for exploring the numerous restaurants, tapas bars and shops. Road links are excellent to all the nearby towns and cities, and even Madrid is less than 4 hours away by train.
The nearby Nueva Condomina. A recently opened shopping mall with some 200 shops, including many U.K high street chains. This complex also provides a impressive range of restaurants, 10 pin bowling and a 6 screen cinema.
The New Water park (Terra Aqua Murcia) and Animal park (Terra Natura Murcia) provide a wonderful family day out, with something for all ages just 15 minutes from the resort. Plus there is a larger waterpark in Torrevieja – 40 mins away.
Why not take a ferry ride from Santiago de la Ribera to La Manga Puerto Tomas Maestra Harbour? The ferry departs every day from 10 a.m. (every 2 hours).

Golf -with the numerous golf courses being constructed in the region, it is being hotly tipped as taking over from the Costa Del Sol as Europe’s leading golf area.
Beaches and Water Sports - soft sandy beaches of the Mar Menor with numerous children’s play areas on the sand, coupled with the calm waters of the Mar Menor make it ideal both for children and for the extensive water sports that are on offer here. These include Jet skiing, wind surfing, sailing, fishing, snorkelling, and scuba diving. The area is great for children and many of the beaches have been deservedly awarded the blue flag.
Scuba Diving - The Hormigas Islands near Cabo de Palos have been declared a Marine Reserve due to their exceptional beauty and the conservation of the sea floor, and are acknowledged as being one of Spain’s premier dive sites.
Horse Riding - La Manga Club is a wonderful location for all standards of horse riders. Set in the Mucian hills and surrounded by beautiful lemon groves, the La Manga Equestrian Centre offers a variety of daily treks along the beach or through the picturesque Spanish countryside.
Go Karts - Mar Menor Go Karts close to San Javier Airport is a great day out for all ages and there is also a refreshment cafeteria.
Football - look up Real Murcia, they are playing in the Spanish Premier League for the 2007/2008 season. They have a new purpose built stadium just to the north of the city next door to Nueva Condominia, so why not combine your shopping day with a football game.

Course description
This superb 18 hole par 68 Jack Nicklaus designed golf course attracts golfers from all over. It features over five hectares of sophisticated bunkers that separate the holes, creating strategic points which provide added value to the shots. Plus, a denser grass was planted around the bunkers, creating the optimum wind shot effect.
It has 6 par 3's with the 11th and and 17th, a carry over water of 170 yds plus 2 par 5's, both of which are approx 500 yds. Accuracy is required for the par 4's so keep that driver in your bag! The greens are in excellent condition, undulating and quite fast!
Staying on La Torre means you can also play quality golf on 3 other superb courses in close proximity for reduced green fees with transportation provided in a warm climate both in the summer and winter months. The Jack Nicklaus Trail currently includes La Torre, El Valle, Mar Menor and Hacienda Riquelme golf courses. It is fast becoming one of the most prestigious trails to complete in Spain. We spent a fantastic 10 days at this villa. The villa was clean, modern and exceptionally well kitted out.It was good to know that Sarah was only minutes away had we needed her and she couldnt have been more welcoming when we arrived. Full air conditioning made a huge difference as it was hot! The garden area was beautiful with nice plants and lovely seating areas. The pool heated up quickly.
Fantastic, relaxing stay!
We had a fantastic, relaxing stay at Villa Clarinda. The villa was spotlessly clean and well equipped. The heated pool was clean and safe for the children. The service we received before, during and after our stay was second to none. We would definitely book through Murcia Golf Owners again and would recommend the villa to our friends and family.

Child Friendly Villa
A very child friendly villa with every thing you would need for the safety of your little one's. It was great to have British channels on the TV for the children to escape from the sun in the hottest hours.

Great Villa
The accomodation was very well presented and the toys, etc. available for in and around the pool were a bonus. Thanks to the gas BBQ,I don't think we cooked a single meal in the kitchen. Within the La Torre site, we were a bit disappointed that Pino's bar was closed and there seemed less to do in the evenings than our previous visits. On the plus side the local Chinese and Indian restaurants were visited a number of times and I would recommend everyone to try them - delicious and well worth the money:)

Your holiday villa is secured with a £200 non refundable deposit. The balance is due 8 weeks before your holiday commences with a £250 breakage deposit which would be returned following a successful departure report. CURRENTLY SPECIAL OFFER FOR 2 WEEK BOOKING
If you require pool heating there is an additional cost of £75 per week.
Guests are met at the resort entrance and shown to the villa where an explanation of all the main facilities is given. Freshly laundered bed linen and towels are provided. The house is professionally cleaned immediately before you arrive ensuring you enjoy a pleasurable stay. A welcome pack including coffee, tea, milk, sugar, bread, butter, marmalade, orange juice and bottled water is waiting for you at the house, ensuring you have a comfortable start to your holiday no matter what time of day you arrive. All of these services are included in the cost of your villa rental. Additional cleaning can be arranged locally.
