PLAY GOLF FOR FREE AT THE NEW CORVERA GOLF RESORT AND STAY IN A PEACEFUL, QUIET COUNTRY ENVIRONMENT WITH AMPLE SPACE TO WALK, BIKE OR JUST SIT TO ADMIRE THE SURROUNDINGS.A 3 bedroom first floor apartment built to very high standards. The apartment has a view of a swimming pool in one direction and the local country side in the other direction. It has light entering the apartment from both the front and back making it a very "airey" apartment. The large balcony has a large wicker table for eating "al fresco". Inside the apartment there is ample space with a large lounge and 2 bathrooms.
The kitchen has all the equipment and utensils you will need for a comfortable stay. There is a dining table and chairs in the lounge.
There are three double bedrooms with built in wardrobes and two comfortable single beds in each. The Master bedroom has a large airey en-suite bathroom with sink, vanity unit, bath/shower and toilet. The main bathroom has a walk in shower, sink and toilet.
There is a feeling of space and light inside the apartment and there is ample space for six adults. There is also a lot of outside space with views towards the golf course and mountains in one direction and the Murcia farmland in the other.
Both air conditioning and central heating is provided.

Local area
Local spanish food is available in the village of Corvera which is 5 minutes drive (or about 15 minutes walk). There are several other small towns within 20 minutes drive with a variety of restaurants including Los Banos and Fuente Alamo. Murcia city contains a huge range of different bars and restuarants and is only 20 minutes drive.
The beach and port of Mazzaron is approx 30 minutes drive as is the beach at Los Alcazares.
Murcia has a very mild climate and boasts 320 days of sunshine every year.

Corvera Golf & Country Resort currently offers free golf to all residents and their tenants. Other activities available are horse riding, tennis, football and children's play areas. There are two large swimming pools close to the apartment.
There is a animal park and water park at Murcia which is about 30 minutes drive away. The Sierra Espuna mountains are just 30 minutes drive.

Travelling there
The nearest airport is the Murcia (San Javier) which is 30 minutes drive away. The new Corvera airpot is due to open during 2012. This is 5 minutes drive away.
Complex description
The 18 hole golf course at Corvera is still quite new and currently it is FREE! A golf shop is on-site and there is a driving range.
There is a small bar and shop on site.
Communal pools and play areas are plentiful around the resort and there are two large swimming pools 2 minutes walk from the apartment.

Course description
Corvera Golf course, designed by Spaniard José María Olazábal, is an 18 hole par 72, 6652 metres, PGA Championship Golf Course. It is in a great location as it is just 15 minutes away from Murcia, 10 minutes from the planned International Corvera Airport, 25 minutes from San Javier airport and 25 minutes to the Mediterranean Sea and the Mar Menor.
Corvera Golf & Country Club along with its parent company Calidona have joined forces with the PGA's of Europe (Corvera has been designated as the Winter headquarters of the the PGA's of Europe).

The resort itself was unfinished. This turned out to be a bonus as we had the pool virtually to ourselves and the golf was free.
Unless you are going to stay in the complex, you will need a car as it takes a bit of time to walk to the town and back.
A great place if you want to brush up on the language as it is a small town where English is limited.

Thankyou for a lovely stay in your spacious apartment. Roy was an absolute star and helped us out on many occasion. Pool is a great area but some seating would be appreciated or non-swimmers. Thanks again.

Lovely apartment, felt at home
Lovely apartment, felt at home. A trip to Guadalest is a must for the beautiful mountain views as is a dip/swim in the Mar Menor. For an experience try the mud baths at Lo Pagan. We had a lovely time. Thanks Roy for the guide, it was our trave bible. Very useful.
