Set at the foot of the hills Sucina is a nearby Spanish town with bars, restaurants, shops, supermarkets and banks. The picturesque square allows you to sit and watch the world go by. In nearby San Javier there is a park, museum and an auditorium where various concerts (including a Jazz festival) take place. The nearby Dos Mares shopping centre has a good range of shops, a large supermarket, a cinema and fast food outlets. Santiago de la Ribera has an excellent beach and promenade and evolved from a fishing village into the premier summer holiday destination for well-heeled Murcian families. Although there is a modern, exclusive feel with an attractive esplanade flanked by palm trees that run the length of the beautiful sandy beach, it has not lost any of its original charm. Murcia city and the naval city of Cartagena are both only a 30 minute journey away.

Travelling there
From Murcia (San Javier) airport the resort can be reached in 15 mins due to the recent opening of a new road network.
Alicante airport is also only 1 hour away.
The new Murcia airport currently under construction in Corvera will be 20 mins away.

Course description
The 18 hole Hacienda Riquelme Golf Course, designed by Jack nicklaus Design is a par 72 and 6416m course build to professional standards. The course covers an area of 71 hectares and has a stunning mountain backdrop. This course is different from the others in the Nicklaus Golf Trail, offering ample fairways are combined with hard to approach greens, and bunkers ready to complicate your game. And all of it surrounded by wild flowers, olive trees and large lakes. Riquelme's playing surfaces are grassed with the latest Paspalum varieties, decreasing the need for large amounts of fresh water. All of these features combine to give Riquelme an older look and feel, establishing the Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort as one of the most unique stops along the Nicklaus Golf Trail.
The boldly contoured greens are sure to be the most talked about feature of the course. Many of the greens are broken into several sections by strong elevation changes making it crucial for golfers to play to the correct section of the green in order to set up the easiest putt possible. The greens also feature numerous subtle random contours and rolls to further complicating putting.
As a resident at Hacienda Riquelme there is a discount off the standard green fee to €45 for the green fees for Hacienda Riquelme Golf Course, La Torre Golf Course & El Valle Golf Course. Just returned from an excellent stay
I can only re-itterate the comments of the other reviewers after spending a wonderful week at the apartment. Very comfortable and modern with all the comforts of home.
Excellent customer service from the owner and would recommend the apartment to friends and family, it was very tranquil and the pool was really enjoyed by my grandson. Loved sitting out on the balcony enjoying the peace and views, very safe site.

Excellent Accomodation in Beautiful Location
After staying at this resort last year and enjoying our holiday so much we returned for a second time. The resort is wonderful, secure and very well maintained. There is a bar and a restaurant serving lovely food. The resort is only a short drive from Sucina which has a few restaurants and approx 30 min drive to some of the main resorts along the coast.
The Water Park and Zoo in Murcia is well worth a visit.
Cartagena is approx 25 min drive away and should definitely be on your list of places to visit , it's amazing.
The apartment overlooks a small lake which is beautiful to look at in the evenings when we sat outside on the balcony.
There is a well equip kitchen with a washing machine and dishwasher. The apartment was well maintained and above average accommodation, it was superb.
The apartment is ideally located very close to the pools, shops, driving range, restaurant and the bar. We now want to come back a third time!

excellant property
this two bed two bath apartment was everything you could want for a relaxing break, the village is only a short drive away but the complex had a very well stocked supermarket, the apartment it self was well equipped with all the essentials, a dish washer and washing machine an added bonus, this was way above average accomadation . The choice of two swimming pools with in a couple of minutes from the apartment were always clean and tidy and very quiet.
There is an excellant zooological park/ water park with in 40 minutes and many beaches to choose from all within easy reach, Cartegena is a beautiful city to visit and only 30 minutes away.
If you are looking for a relaxing break in beautiful accomadation then this is the place to stay

Excellent stay - will definately return!
We always book holidays through a travel agent so were'nt too sure what to expect. But this holiday was fantastic! Before booking we spoke to the owner who was genuine and provided lots of information about the apartment and area we were staying in.
After arriving at Alicante airport(flights were much cheaper than Murcia) we hired a car for 100 euros for the week. We were given directions to the resort which were easy to follow and were met at the resort by our keyholders. They took us to the apartment and advised us of local amenities etc.
The property was tastefully decorated and had everything we needed, it was like a home from home. Very clean and well maintained. Although the photos are good, it looked much better. It was in a perfect location approx 50 yards to the swimming pool which we had to ourselves for the whole week! and a 2 minute walk to the bar/restaurant/shops & supermarket.
We dont play golf and although it is golfers paradise it was ideal for others too. I would recommend car hire to see other areas in particular Mar Menor and La Manga, however for a relaxing week staying at the resort is fine.
I would definately recommend this to friends and family and we are planning to book another break there very shortly.

Family Holiday
This is my families first time on a Polaris complex, our first visit to Murcia as well. The appartment was excellent, very clean, well appointed I'd even go as far as saying it was luxurious. The air condition was welcomed, we had 40c during August, fantastic! Both my wife and myslef loved the balcony view, particularly in the evening watching the sun go down. All the facilites were firsty class, the pool (heaven) the golfing and general sporting options. You also have a great shop, resturant and small friendly bar onsite. The service from both the owner and the site staff cannot be faulted. My family had a really superb time at Hacienda Riquelme, you can be sure we will return, soon.
