Set in the exclusive gated golf resort of Polaris World’s Hacienda Riquelme is our wonderfully located 2 bedroom ground floor apartment in the region of Murcia, with one of the best climates in Spain.Our 5* ground floor garden apartment overlooks a communal pool with views of the golf course and Hacienda in the background and comprises all the features that you would expect from a resort of this quality.
Our apartment offers great value for money averaging in peak season less than £14 per person per night with 4 people sharing.
Our apartment briefly comprises of a relaxing air conditioned lounge with leather furniture, flat screen satellite TV with UK channels. There is also a dining area with extending table and chairs for 4 people. WE NOW HAVE FREE WIFI / INTERNET ACCESS
There are 2 bedrooms one with a double bed and one with twin beds, with electric fans, plenty of storage and wardrobe space.
Our kitchen is fully equipped and has top of the range amenities including oven, hob, fridge freezer microwave, dish washer, washing machine and iron.
The well appointed bathroom has quality fittings including bath with shower, bidet, and modern washbasin.
Outside on the patio is al fresco dining for 4 people, sun loungers and relaxers with its own private lawn.
There is ample parking with a dedicated underground parking space, number 1177. All bed linen and towels are provided with heating available during the winter months.
Towels and linen are provided including beach towels to save on your flight baggage allowance.
.The nearest Spanish town of Sucina is only 5 minutes away with superb beaches found at Mar Menor just 15 minutes from the golf resort. With Murcia Airport only 15 minutes away and Alicante under an hour the apartment is ideally suited for a short or longer break. Car hire is recommended

The regional capital and University City on the river Segura is around 30 minutes away by car. This vibrant city was founded by the Moors in 825AD and boasts a beautiful Cathedral and University, as well as Botanic Gardens, Museums and other historical builinds arouns its narrow, but characterful streets. The municipal Casino on Calle Traperia might look like a gentleman's club from the outside, but it's open to the general public - just ask the commissionaire for a look around and he will gladly oblige.
Shops include El Corte Ingles, (the Spanish equivalent of Selfridges or Fenwicks etc) and numerous designer label shops on the Calles Traperia and Plateria, dozens of great restaurants and a lively nightlife, especially during fiestas and carnivals.
Cartegena
Head south for about 25kms and you will come to Spain's oldest port. Cartegena is one of Spain's oldest cities, and still of major maritime importance to Spain, both commerciallt and militarily. A multitude of civilisations have left their mark on the city as numerous archaeological sites and museums will testify. In the heart of the city is a modern shopping area, which spills down past the tapas bars to the recently revitalised harbour. Here you will find the World's oldest submarine on display built in 1884 bye a local man Isaac Peral.
Santiago de la Ribero and Lo Pagan
Two traditional Spanish seaside towns at the Northern end of the Mare Menor. The beach of Satiago de lla Ribera is lined by tall palm trees along the promenade and there are numerous shops, bars and cafes to explore. There is also a new out of town shopping centre called Dos ares on the outskirts of Santiago de la Ribera, whilst Lo Pagan has a lively fish market on the Esplanade every morning.

Complex description
Our complex has 11 swimming pools for you to choose from and several playgrounds for the children. There are also tennis courts, boules, paddle courts, basketball and football for the more energetic. Horse riding and trekking is also available at Peralja Golf. The spectacular Hacienda houses a restaurant, outdoor bar, internet room, golf shop and very well stocked supermarket with on-line ordering available.

Notes on accommodation
Inside the Apartment:
We have tried to make our apartment as comfortable and stress-free as possible for all of our guests. The relaxing, cool lounge has two brown leather sofas, flat screen LCD TV with satellite digibox (with UK channels) and air conditioning and heating. Patio doors lead to our terrace and small garden with outside dining table and chairs with two comfortable wicker armchairs and two sunloungers available for your use.
We have a modern open plan dining area dining table and four dining chairs.
The kitchen is fully equipped with all you would expect in a luxury self catering apartment including oven, hob, extractor, fridge freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave/grill, pots & pans and utensils. There is also and ironing board and iron.
Our apartment has two comfortable bedrooms. One with a double bed and fitted wardrobes, bedsife tables, lamps, dressing mirror and one with twin beds also with ample storage in the for of fitted wardrobes, bedside tables, lamp and wall mirror. Both have free standing electric fans.
The bathroom is well fitted with bath/shower, WC, bidet, vanity unit with mirror above and basin. A shower mat is provided for safety. There is also a hairdryer here for your use.
Outside:
Our comfortable terrace leads onto a small garden. The terrace is north facing and keeps out apartment cool in the hot summer. However two steps onto the landscaped gardens and you are in the sun, perfect for sun worshippers like me, or even better 10 metres away is the communal pool.
There are beautiful veiws from our terrace of the pool, golf course and Hacienda in the distance. Take the lift to the top floor and from the rear there are stunning veiws of the lemon groves.
Hacienda Riquelme is the perfect location for people who want a peaceful family holiday, golfers, and provides a pefect base for exploring the beautiful Spanish countryside and beaches.

Course description
The 18 hole Hacienda Riquelme Golf Course, designed by Jack nicklaus Design is a par 72 and 6416m course build to professional standards. The course covers an area of 71 hectares and has a stunning mountain backdrop. This course is different from the others in the Nicklaus Golf Trail, offering ample fairways are combined with hard to approach greens, and bunkers ready to complicate your game. And all of it surrounded by wild flowers, olive trees and large lakes. Riquelme's playing surfaces are grassed with the latest Paspalum varieties, decreasing the need for large amounts of fresh water. All of these features combine to give Riquelme an older look and feel, establishing the Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort as one of the most unique stops along the Nicklaus Golf Trail.
The boldly contoured greens are sure to be the most talked about feature of the course. Many of the greens are broken into several sections by strong elevation changes making it crucial for golfers to play to the correct section of the green in order to set up the easiest putt possible. The greens also feature numerous subtle random contours and rolls to further complicating putting.
As a resident at Hacienda Riquelme there is a discount off the standard green fee to €45 for the green fees for Hacienda Riquelme Golf Course, La Torre Golf Course & El Valle Golf Course. The property is clean and well maintained. It has its own private outdoor area including small garden, overlooking the pool area. Very quiet and peaceful. Shared pool area is large, clean and very secure. The apartment is well equipped with modern furniture and appliances. The resort is still being developed (not close to the apartment so no noise etc) and it will be an ideal place for families once these developments are complete. Ideal location for golf as there are plenty of excellent courses to choose from in the area. A car is necessary for travelling further afield. We would definitely consider returning to this apartment.

The apartment was very tidy/clean and modern. It had all the facilities that was needed and was set in a beautiful location. It was very cool inside so the air-conditioning was not needed. The communal pool area was very large, it was the perfect temperature too cool down in. It was a perfect family holiday and the driving range was a perfect place to go for a few hours. A car was necessary as advised by the owners to leave the resort and to go to the nearby beaches and restaurants. This was a great holiday and I would go again.

The apartment was kitted with superb factilities avaliable for use to use. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely apartment. It was equipped to the high standards as described and has also now got free internet / WIFI. We visited many attractions during our stay but by far the best for us was the horseriding facilities at Peraleja Golf. All the arrangements made for us by the owners and keyholder Aiden were perfect and we will be visiting again soon and would highly recommend this beautiful apartment and resort of Hacienda Riquelme
