Murcia has traditionally been known for producing a great deal of the country's fruits and vegetables. Its plentiful orchards known as Huertas) are in contract with other parts of the region, which boasts Spain's very own badlands and steppes.

The port city of Cartagena is lovely to relax and walk around the lovely harbour with plenty of restaurants, bars and shopping. The Cathedral city of Murcia also boasts a "cafe bar" culture with great restaurants, bars and shopping. Caravaca de la Cruz, in the northwest of the region, is one of the five holy cities of catholicism, along with Jerusalem, Rome, Santiago de Compostela and Liebana. Its Real Alcazar houses the famous Cruz de Caravaca, a cross with two horizontal arms which holds what is allegedly a sliver of the actual cross on which Jesus Christ wa crucified. So there is plenty to explore and enjoy, not just the for golf.

La Torre Golf Resort is located in Torre Pacheco, next to the Murcia-San Javier motorway. La Torre Golf Resort has been built around a big lake like a fishing village that give the impression of floating restaurants. The resort has a 5 star hotel complex, clubhouse and pro shop, conference centre, bars, several restaurants, supermakret, superb pools and children'e play areas.

Notes on accommodation
The kitchen is very well equipped. We have also added a blender for those smoothies and cocktails plus a portable oven with a spit for easy spit roast chicken etc. There is a stainless steel shelf with cupboard underneath for extra storage. Also extra cupboard space in utility area.
Seating for 4 people though plenty of space to bring in chairs from patio or from dining table for extra seating. Large sofabed. Wall mounted 42" plasma tv. CD's and books and games provided.
Dining seating for 4. Good quality glass dining table with 4 leather chairs. Can easily seat 6 by bringing in two patio chairs.
Luxury bathroom again furnished to a high standard. Grab handle fitted, hot towel rail, sink with vanity unit, mirror with lights, shaving mirror. Attractive wall mounted storage dresser. Towels supplied.
42" plasma TV with Polaris tv package. BBC and ITV channels available as well as childrens programmes and other foreign language programmes.
Broadband available with the use of scratch cards. These are obtainable from the supermacardo and golf club house.

Course description
This superb 18 hole par 68 Jack Nicklaus designed golf course attracts golfers from all over. It features over five hectares of sophisticated bunkers that separate the holes, creating strategic points which provide added value to the shots. Plus, a denser grass was planted around the bunkers, creating the optimum wind shot effect.
It has 6 par 3's with the 11th and and 17th, a carry over water of 170 yds plus 2 par 5's, both of which are approx 500 yds. Accuracy is required for the par 4's so keep that driver in your bag! The greens are in excellent condition, undulating and quite fast!
Staying on La Torre means you can also play quality golf on 3 other superb courses in close proximity for reduced green fees with transportation provided in a warm climate both in the summer and winter months. The Jack Nicklaus Trail currently includes La Torre, El Valle, Mar Menor and Hacienda Riquelme golf courses. It is fast becoming one of the most prestigious trails to complete in Spain. A £150 reservation deposit is required to secure your booking. The remaining balance to be paid 6 weeks before you arrival. A damage deposit of £200 is required a week before your stay. This will be refunded after your stay, subject to a satisfactory final inspection of the property. Cleaning costs of 60 euros are payable locally on arrival to the key holder. Addtiional mid stay cleaning can be arranged at a further cost.
