The Mar Menor and local resort of Los Alcazares are both less than 5 minutes drive from the Roda resort. Los Alcazares has a large selection of fine restaurants and bars catering to every taste. The Mar Menor is an excellent choice for family holidays with its safe shallow waters and plentiful beachside bars. For the ladies excellent spa facilities are available in Los Alcazares. There are weekly markets in Los Alcazares and even closer nearby in Los Narejos.

The city of Murcia, described as one of the most beautiful and historic cities in Spain, is only 25 minutes drive from the resort. Further South is Cartagena, with its naval port, roman ruins and plentiful shopping.

The apartment is ideally situated, being only a short 5 minute walk through pretty scented walkways to the Roda Clubhouse and Golf Course. The Clubhouse has a large seated terrace with stunning views over the golf course, its own restaurant serving excellent food and separate bar area with alternative menu. In the Summer months the Clubhouse hosts live music nights.

Surrounding the Clubhouse is the Dave Thomas designed 18 hole par 72 (6711 yards) golf course featuring lush, rolling fairways, lakes and palm trees and a 175 metre island green par 3 signature hole. A driving range with state-of-the-art tuition technology, PGA Academy, well-stocked pro-shop, luxury changing facilities, buggy and club hire are all available. Whilst still enjoyable for higher handicap players, the course never fails to challenge even the best players with its strategically placed hazards, undulating landscape and meticulously maintained USGA standard greens.

In the Summer the stunning Roda Beach Club provides luxurious dining and sunbathing on the tip of the La Manga peninsular. It has beach access to both the Mar Menor and Mediterranean Sea and has a Jacuzzi, restaurant and bar service. A coach and ferry service is available from Roda Golf resort to the Beach Club.

The resort has numerous children's playgrounds, tennis courts and 5-a-side pitch.

The dining area has a dining table and seating for four people. There is a 3-seater sofa plus two chairs for watching DVDs or a variety of English and Spanish television channels on a flat panel television. Patio doors lead from the living room to a terrace which also has a dining table and chairs for 4 people.

The fully-fitted kitchen includes a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge-freezer, oven and hob, kettle, toaster, microwave, smoke alarm, carbon monoxide detector, crockery, cutlery etc (iron and ironing board, are in the hall cupboard).

The massive 77m² rooftop solarium features a pergola, dining for six, four sun-loungers and a traditional charcoal barbeque. The solarium has views over the golf course with sea in the distance on one side, and towards the mountains on the other. A pergola provides subtle shade over a dining table for six.

Course description

This excellent 18-hole, par 72 golf course, designed by Dave Thomas was created by combining different environments and working for a total adaptation to the Mediterranean landscape and vegetation. They have transformed the practically flat ground into an interesting and undulating golf terrain, with strategically placed lakes and carefully designed tree planting integrated in to the design, to challenge all levels of golfers. Watch out for the 7th Hole - 174m Par 3, played over water with the green on a small island! Guests staying at this apartment benefit from a massive 40% DISCOUNT ON GREEN FEES. Dave is rightly proud of his creation and has cleverly shaped the previously flat landscape into an interesting and undulating golfing terrain that is pleasing to the eye and provides an interesting and challenging test of golf. The design incorporates 3 strategically located lakes and a great deal of emphasis has also been placed on integrated tree planting and landscaping.

Minimum Stay: No minimum stay, but minimum 1 week’s rental cost.
Booking: Payment of 20% to confirm booking, with the balance payable at least 6 weeks prior to beginning of rental.
Security Deposit: £150 paid at least 6 weeks prior to arrival, returned within two weeks of departure subject to satisfactory inspection.
Cancellations: Full refund if 6 weeks’ notice given prior to beginning of rental. 50% refund if notice given 3-6 weeks prior to rental period, no refunds if less than 3 weeks’ notice given.
Services included in Rental Rates: Cleaning of apartment and terraces, fresh towels and bedlinen in both bedrooms immediately prior to each full week booked (additional cleaning and/or fresh bedlinen available on request). Use of communal gardens and swimming pools.
