Long sandy beaches, are the regions top attraction, most with palm tree lined promenades and some have children's play areas close by.

The Mar Menor is Europe´s largest salt-water lagoon, which contains rich mud full of minerals which can aid skin complaints. It is separated from the Mediterranean by the narrow La Manga strip.

The Mar Menor Ferry operates between mid June to mid September, picking up from various pier's along the Mar Menor and the islands of the Mar Menor, at which you can stop off and enjoy a delicious lunch.

Local activities / places of interest

The area offers all water related sports, including kite surfing, water skiing, canoeing, windsurfing and sailing. Other activities that can be enjoyed include a nature reserve, horse riding, walking, cycling, go-karting and golf available all year round.

Banks are available in both Torre Pacheco and Los Alcazares, excellent restaurants are close by and supermarkets large and small surround the resort in local towns. The "Dos Mares" shopping centre in San Javier has a cinema, bowling alley and places to eat.

La Manga Club is less than 20 mins away by car with 3 Championship courses, with its shops, bars, clubs, restaurants and a new Spa club. There is also the "Par 47" pitch and putt course.

Cartagena (20 mins by car) is surrounded by hills and is Spain´s oldest port, which can be viewed by boat trips. Amongst the medieval buildings there is a busy shopping district with modern fashion boutiques.

Murcia (25 mins by car) is the capital of the region. It sits in a valley and is surrounded by a mountain range and has a mixture of old and new buildings with a good shopping district and places of historical interest.

There are 2 water parks, Club Aquoplois in Torrevieja and Aqua Park, Ciudad Quesada, Rojales (30 mins by car) and the Terra Mitica Theme Park, Terra Nature Theme Park, Safari Park Vergel, Mundomar Animal Park and Aqualandia water park are only 90 mins by car.

Course description

The 18 hole Mar Menor Golf Course, designed by Jack Nicklaus Design. The Mar Menor Village golf course, re-designed by Jack Nicklaus is now run by Ola Golf Group

Although offering wide fairways and big greens the design requires accuracy in your shots to overcome the numerous changes in elevation, the lakes and strategically placed bunkers.  However, the use of multiple tees means the course can offer a real challenge to the best of golfers whilst not detering the less skillful player. Its spectacular design demands a diverse range of shots to successfully overcome the obstacles, making its round an ideal place to hold tournaments, with the extra incentive offered by the various water hazards that embellish the course and global views. The lakes play an important role as the game progresses, requiring of the player great skills and composure when facing these types of obstacles. This lush Mediterranean landscape full of palm tress, native grasses and flowering shrubs adds to the beauty of the resort.

Booking information

All towels including beach towels and linen supplied and changed weekly as standard. Villa cleaned before and at end of stay as standard. Additional changes of towels and linen and or cleaning can be arranged at an additional cost.

All prices are for the property per week, short breaks and long weekends welcomed out of main holiday periods.

The property will be available from 18.00 hrs on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10.00 on day of departure.

A rental deposit of £200/€300per each weeks rental should be received with booking form.
