Located at the South-East corner of Spain, the region of Murcia has an average annual temperature of 18ºC, with hot summers above 25ºC and mild winters, averaging 11ºC during December and January. With the number of cloudless days around 150, almost 3,000 hours of sunshine per annum and less than 35cm of rain per year, it is a golfers and holiday makers paradise.
Murcia offers on the one hand unprotected shores with wild seas and on the other, small coves with calm, placid waters. Sand-dunes, beaches, salt-water lagoons, mud-flats... the Murcia coastline includes numerous places of unquestionable interest to the naturalist. Not surprisingly many of these have been declared Protected Natural Areas such as the Parque Regional de las Salinas, spots where you can find many indigenous species of flora and fauna.
The city of Murcia is described as one of the most beautiful and historic in the country. The entire region is steeped in history. There's no shortage of period architecture, intriguing museums and Spanish culture. The surrounding countryside hosts wineries, historical relics dating back to the Bronze Age and one magnificent, mountainous park. The abundant remains and archaeological sites include rock-paintings in cave-shelters dating back to the Iberian period, the splendour of Roman antiquity with its urbanistic refinement and penchant for the theatrical, Visigothic cities, Arab medinas, Christian castles, watch-towers, churches and temples, civil and military constructions.......

Roda Golf and Beach Resort is a new luxury first-class Golf Resort situated between the clear waters of the Mar Menor and the nearby village of Roda. The resort consists of a mix of well designed and finished two or three bedded apartments and townhouses and detached villas. All the properties are set around a fantastic 18 hole par 72 hole golf course, designed by Dave Thomas and where the Captain of Golf is Sam Torrance.
Guests enjoy a 20% reduction in green fees.
Facilities include a magnificent Club House with fantastic views over the golf course and the Mar Menor. The excellent restaurant offers a la carte and table d'hote fare or you can enjoy tapas or a drink in the bar. TV's, newspapers and free WiFi internet access are also on offer. Notes on suitability
Travel cots and high chairs can be provided at a minimal charge, just request at time of booking.
Notes on accommodation
The balcony and huge roof terrace offer fabulous views of the pool and water feature and the golf course and Mar Menor beyond.
The roof terrace is accessed by a safe and secure "dog leg" staircase from the balcony leading from the lounge. This arrangements is much superior to both the spiral staircases and external concrete staircases seen on most of the penthouses in Roda. The spiral staircases, with tight turns and narrow treads are only suitable for the sure footed and not really child friendly. In addition those apartments with external concrete staircases suffer the potential for guests to lock themselves out of the apartment whilst on the roof terrace. Believe us we have had friends who experienced exactly this fate and ended up paying over Euros 100 to have the lock picked to regain entrance to an apartment they had rented. You have been warned!!

Course description
This excellent 18-hole, par 72 golf course, designed by Dave Thomas was created by combining different environments and working for a total adaptation to the Mediterranean landscape and vegetation. They have transformed the practically flat ground into an interesting and undulating golf terrain, with strategically placed lakes and carefully designed tree planting integrated in to the design, to challenge all levels of golfers. Watch out for the 7th Hole - 174m Par 3, played over water with the green on a small island! Dave is rightly proud of his creation and has cleverly shaped the previously flat landscape into an interesting and undulating golfing terrain that is pleasing to the eye and provides an interesting and challenging test of golf. The design incorporates 3 strategically located lakes and a great deal of emphasis has also been placed on integrated tree planting and landscaping. All rentals include a meet and greet by our managing agent when you arrive.
Minimum stay 3 nights except where shown (please refer to price panel).
Your apartment will be ready from 3pm on day of arrival. Please ensure it is vacated by 11am on day of departure. We will try to accommodate late departures/early arrivals.
20% deposit at time of booking with balance due 8 weeks prior to arrival. Bookings made within 8 weeks of arrival date are payable in full along with security deposit. ALL payments are NON refundable. Security deposit £/Euro 150 due with final payment and refunded following inspection by our managing agent.
Compulsory end of stay cleaning charge of Euro 75 payable locally on departure.
