Paramount Theme Park in Murcia could possibly be completed a full year ahead of schedule, according to a statement issued by the regional government of Murcia.
With the new international airport due to open at Corvera in 2012, just 20 minutes from the theme park, plus the high speed AVE train from Madrid to Murcia will provide excellent links to the area and put Murcia on the map in a big way.
Owners of properties in the area have faced huge disappointments in their investments with the value of properties plummeting, however with the exciting development projects, these investments may well soon prove profitable.
Detailed plans of the Paramount Resort to be built in Murcia is expected to attract five million visitors per year which is 50% increase on Spain’s current largest theme park Porta Ventura.
Over one billion Euros is to be invested in the park which will employ in excess of 10,000 people during the course of construction. The park will also contain an auditorium with capacity for 15,000 people and the largest convention centre in the region of Murcia capable of accommodating over 3,000 people in its main hall. Work is now due to start as early as February 2012, just 4 months away.
All of these factors make Murcia an increasingly popular destination with holiday rentals in the area in high demand for holiday rentals and to purchase new properties.
