The Spanish press has announced that that Proyectos Emblemáticos has paid around 2 million euros to secure a 30 year licence to build and operate the Paramount Resort Murcia. The contract was signed between the heads of the Murcia based company and the American company in Los Angeles.
The theme park will be located on land of 1.7 million square meters next to the highway linking Alhama de Murcia and Cartagena. The company shared Samper and the regional government has purchased in the town of Alhama de Murcia paid 15.7 million euros for the 15 farms Intersa and other companies.
Final designs of the theme park, which will be presented at an official ceremony scheduled for March 25 with work to start before the end of the year with a completion date of 2015 and at a cost of between 700 and 800 million euros to build the theme park.
Following the official ceremony, Proyectos Emblemáticos will be searching for possible business funding and it’s been said thatvarious Chinese and Arab business groups have expressed interest in collaborating in the initiative.
Once the official presentation of the project has been made, Proyectos Emblemáticos can begin the search for funding, a figure which was estimated by Jesús Samper at the official press presentation of the confirmation of the land option, at 700 to 800 million euros.
