‘Paramount Resort’ has been mentioned for the first time in the press coverage of the topic recently and will be the first Paramount Theme Park in Europe.
Paramount Resort in Murcia will be vast in size showing an area equivalent to 109 football stadiums and will include four large hotels and a water park as well as the theme park. which will include a theme park of 36.5 hectares and a water park of 9.9 hectares. Final master plans will be revealed later this month on the 25th March.
The new interactive experience for visitors will use the latest visual and audio technology and construction will begin possibly by the end of this year with a completion date within 4 years of construction commencing. Speculation suggests that the Paramount Resort could be based around the films Titanic, Lara Croft, Italian Job and Congo. Original visitor figures were 4.5 million visitors a year however a figure seven time the amount of current visitors to Murcia of 6 million a year has been suggested as being achievable.
The impact on the area will bring a welcome boost to confidence, employment and rentals for not only local business but the resident expat community and holiday owners.
