Cartagena Jazz Festival - 5th to 20th November

Visit the 30th anniversary of the Cartagena( Murcia) Jazz Festival from November 5th to 20th at the Nuevo Teatro Circo.

This is a superb programme of quality concerts, with a smattering of amazing international names, including Macy Gray, Roberta Flack, Manhattan Transfer and Eli"Paperboy" Reed.

Modern Jazz will be featured with Portico Quartet a London based group who are quickly making quite a name for themselves.

If you are a serious jazz lover then abono ticket makes this festival a bargain at only €75, with the exclusion of just one concert, that of Roberta Flack and Esperanza Spalding . there are only 250 tickets abono tickets available.

There are two free concerts in amongst this programme, the inaugural night on Friday 5th November with the Cuban maestro Marco Gonzales and his band Afro Cuban All Stars which is on Friday 5th November and then on the 10th November, Rob Mazurek's STARLICKER.

In the Puertas de Murcia, a large space in the centre of Cartagenas' shopping streets, by the statue of the Icue 

The first inaugural evening of the festival, a free concert by THE AFRO CUBAN ALL STARS

Followed by, MANHATTAN TRANSFER

NUEVO TEATRO CIRCO at 10.30pm

This will be the only concert performed in Spain by the group.
